After sustaining a workplace injury, I embraced the three-year recovery as an opportunity for growth and development. During this period, I successfully completed my Health and Safety qualifications. This new direction led me to Avid Plus, where I initially contributed part-time, focusing on Hazardous Substances and Simulated Training modules. My role quickly evolved into a full-time position.

I believe the future should evolve towards optimising technology, ensuring workers have a clear and engaging interaction with health and safety practices tied to their roles. By integrating innovative tools and digital solutions, we can make health and safety protocols more accessible and interactive, fostering a deeper understanding and commitment to workplace safety.

Balancing a busy life with two young children, I dedicate most of my time to enjoying their early years. I also have two energetic border collies, who love walks and trips to the beach when Dunedin weather allows. After the kids go to bed, I enjoy watching movies and TV shows with my wife or unwinding with video games.
