SafePlus is a new, voluntary health and safety performance improvement toolkit for businesses. It assesses how well your business is performing against good practice health and safety requirements, and provides tailored advice and guidance on how to improve. SafePlus uses a diagnostic and evaluative approach to engage with businesses.
Using the SafePlus approach, we will identify factors that influence your business’s health and safety performance and measure your performance against the good practice requirements of SafePlus. We use a behavioural based consultative assessment approach which is quite different from traditional workplace paper based health and safety programmes.
The assessment will:
Observe practices, behaviours, attitudes perceptions and culture onsite
Interview workers, managers and senior leaders at all levels
Review the effectiveness of systems and processes
Trace three key health and safety risks in your business to identify how well they are being managed
At the end of an assessment you will receive a report with evidence based feedback about each performance requirement. It will include an Illustration of Performance and tailored advice to support you to focus your resources and effort on the right issues.
