WorkSafe is actively encouraging machinery safety improvements in New Zealand to address risks to workers and others, alongside a tightening of legal requirements to support compliance.
Avid Plus will provide a thorough review of your machinery by undertaking a Machine Risk Assessment following the process outlined in the Australia New Zealand Standards 4024 - Safety of Machinery Series.
The aim of the assessment is to provide a systematic and detailed assessment undertaken by persons with an understanding of both machine operation and its safety requirements. The assessment includes not only its normal operation but issues relating to blockages, cleaning, and maintenance.
As part of the risk assessment, we will spend time with the operators of the machine to understand the processes and risks so we can recommend practicable solutions.
Our focus is on safety, we don’t design guards or sell safety components. We are independent experts who understand your obligations to the Health and Safety at Work Act and AS/NZS 4024. We will make high level recommendations relating to control options.
We will provide services for your needs whether this is a summary Machine Risk Assessment of all your machines or risk assessment of a specific machine. We can also provide procedural and training support for machine safety and LOTO.
We are experienced with many years of experience with a wide range of machines. We are suitably qualified including CMSE® – Certified Machinery Safety Expert (TÜV NORD) and PILZ MachineSafe.
